"Better Together"
is Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapist (OMPT) Rebecca Lowe’s philosophy of partnering with patients to help them become involved with their own health and wellness. Over many years as a practitioner, Rebecca has developed treatment tools for patients to use at home. When these tools, exercises, and changes are implemented alongside OMPT treatment, the patient experiences faster and longer lasting results.

The OMPT Support Pillow was developed by Rebecca Lowe PT, COMT, FAAOMPT to allow her clients to sleep with less pain at night when used under the neck or lower back, she now also has uses for OMPT, such as for hip mobilizations.

The two main goals of a pillow are to provide support and conform to you. Many pillows only perform one of the goals: a pillow can conform, but not support, or vice versa. If your neck is bent to one side all night, it will create tension on one side and over-stretching on the other side. If you are not supported, your muscles will also have to stay in tension throughout the night to be able to hold you up. If a pillow is supportive but not conforming, then your neck or back has to conform to it instead of the other way around.

The pillow should fit in the hollow of the neck or low back and not be in contact with the skull, ribs, or hip bone. There are two sizes of the OMPT Support Pillow - choose the smaller size for children and petite adults to better fit their necks and low backs.
